It's been more than a month since i came back from Japan but since i seem to have left my heart there despite my mind and body being back here. My 'loyal fleet' of reader's' have been complaining about the lack of updates on my blog so one is definitely in order after two months.
There's a ton of photos from Japan so maybe J-posts will come later =P
Here's a look back at Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore from back in late March.
They did serve some complimentary bread at the beginning which was warm and comforting especially taken with olive oil and vinegar but it was EXACTLY the same as the pizza base that we had later so... not good.

Capricciosa - Having an abundance of ingredients always helps with food like pizza.
As i mentioned earlier they seemed to serve the pizza base as the complimentary bread so it kinda took 1/2 the fun of eating this away. I typically don't remember food that doesn't wow me very clearly but this i recall was somewhat decent. Olives, ham, spicy pork salami with mushrooms and anchovies work for me.
Delicious artichokes! We almost fought over them.

Al Prosciutto - I loved this! Much more sauce would be in order if this ever came up before me again. It dries up after a while so make haste! I do tend to choose rather safe options so Parma ham, mushrooms, tomatoes and olives in a tomato cream based sauce shouldn't go too wrong.
Interestingly enough, the ham is served in chunks instead of thin slices. Maybe it's my imagination but it seems to taste better this way????

Tiramisu - O was definitely insistent that we have this and i was game for anything. One of the better Tiramisu renditions i've tried but an unfair comparison as most of the (few) Tiramisu desserts i've tried were cheap-shiite versions.
I'll be posting about a Bang-fer-Buck pizza/pasta place that is WOW... stay tuned to future posts!
